About Our Rear View Bicycle Mirrors

At Bicycle Safety, Inc., we are proud to manufacture all of our rear view bicycle mirrors right here in the United States. Assembly, packaging, and shipping of our products are all handled by a sheltered workshop run by Arc. Through Arc and the State of California’s programming, we are able to provide practical job training and counseling for people with disabilities in a structured environment. This way, when you purchase one of our mirrors, you too will be supporting these fantastic programs.

Our Founder

Dr. Jack Greenlaw invented, designed, and marketed our products over the last 15 years. Our hard shell helmet mirror was the first production model. As a dentist, Dr. Greenlaw initially got the idea for his bicycle mirror by attaching an oversized dental mirror onto a helmet. After making mirrors for family and friends, he was advised to start producing them for the larger bicycle market.
The original metal mirror was sold at a very high price because our suppliers were unable or unwilling to deliver parts in a cost-efficient manner. It became apparent that to remain competitive, we needed a mirror that could be easily mass-produced at a price point that was affordable for everyone in the sales chain.
